It has been repainted and includes an airbrushed mural of valor by artist Mickey Harris. The Medal of Honor Thunderbird is a work of art to commemorate the service and sacrifice of those men who have been awarded the Medal of Honor. The seat has been upholstered in rich top-grain cowhide leather with the Army, Air Force and Navy/Marine Corps Medals of Honor embroidered in precise detail. The artwork is an accurate re-creation of historic photographs that depict the sacrifices made during combat. The hood of the Medal of Honor Thunderbird is signed by 22 Medal of Honor recipients representing World War II, Korean War, Vietnam and Operation Enduring Freedom. The dashboard is painted to represent the dog tags of Medal of Honor recipients who are living. The Medal of Honor Thunderbird is dedicated to the memories of Private First Class Alfred M. "Mac" Wilson, U.S. Marines, and Staff Sergeant Marvin R. Young, U.S. Army, who were killed in action in the Republic of Vietnam. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this one-of-a-kind work of art will be used by Wounded Warriors Family Support in its mission to support the families of our combat wounded. - - - - > > > > > click on the links to see how this Thunderbird looks as of July 1, 2016. < < < < < - - - - - - -
