Stephen D. Cracknell says: This was my father's (Capt. William H. Cracknell) Thunderbird which he bought new in December of 1954 at the age of 23. It cost him 1 year's salary at the time. It was the first Thunderbird in Stark County, Ohio. Sadly, He recently passed away. The car has been in storage since 1968 and we had pulled it out of storage and started the restoration process a few months back. Since he passed, I just recently sent it to Casco (Classic Tbird restorations) in Coshocton, Ohio for a full up restoration. He loved this car and I have lot of photos of him as a young man, many with my Mom and brother, and a few with he and I moving it over the years, etc. The car has a lot history and character. I also own a 1997 Thunderbird which is Registry Number 29551.
