Chad Layton says: In 1972 my grandfather Charles Powell purchased this Thunderbird at a roadside service station in Los Angeles, California on the way back to his home in Phoenix, Arizona. He paid $125. The Thunderbird was in Arizona from 1972-1979. Colorado from 1980-1983. California from 1984-1994. Back to Azizona from 1995-2023. In Oct. 2022 I purchased the Thunderbird from my grandfather. I moved to San Antonio,Texas in June 2023 and brought the car with me. In 1977 the Thunderbird had the engine overhauled, exterior repainted, interior redone and a new convertible top put on.
