This is a 1961 Thunderbird Convertible. It was built as a 1961 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. The code "PAO 8479" refers to Pre-Approved Order #8479. It has a black leather interior (86), and was scheduled for production on March 21, 1961. It has Cruise-O-Matic transmission (4) and a 3.00:1 rear axle ratio (6).
