This 1957 Thunderbird was reported sold by RM Auctions on November 6, 2006, lot #314, for $319,000. It was Flame Red with a red interior and had the following options: matching red porthole hard top, soft top, tonneau cover, automatic transmission, full wheel covers, back-up lights, power windows, power seat, power brakes, power steering and tinted windows. This car had a long list of prestigious awards. Phil Skinner adds that it was part of the Jerry Cappizzi collection. UPDATE February 2016, it is to be auction at Palm Beach, Florida in April, 2016. UPDATE May 2018, This 1957 Thunderbird is documented on page #18 of the May-June 2018 edition of Early Bird Magazine. It is part of a list of cars that was derived by a CTCI member who inventoried all 1957 invoices by original sales price.
