James Wayne says: I purchased this fairly rare Flame Red, E code, 3-speed Overdrive 1957 Thunderbird in 1991. It has had a frame-off restoration completed in late 2002.
The car was built on January 24, 1957 as the 103,294th 1957 Ford built at Dearborn, delivered to Hub City Motors in Lafayette, Louisiana. It is still data plate correct with Flame Red exterior with Colonial White interior. The hard top is Colonial White, the soft top is now tan canvas and a white tonneau cover has been added. I have also added power steering, power brakes, Roadster wire wheels and radial tires. The 3:70 to 1 standard overdrive rear axle ratio is used. - - - - Possible VIN discrepancy: very likely… the owner also reports E7FH203394 with the same production codes. UPDTE September 2017, New York State DMV registration is current.
